Two Underwater Photos Named Finnish Underwater Photographer of the Year 2020

Two underwater photos, Tiina Törmäsen's "Ruska / Autumn" and Pekka Tuurin's "Kellot Helisevät," have been named the Finnish Underwater Photographer of the Year 2020. It was the first time that two photos received this recognition.

The jury wanted to showcase two different perspectives on the hobby of diving. Törmäsen's photo captures the beauty of Finland's underwater world, while Tuurin's photo captures the anticipation and excitement of diving.

The award is a testament to the talent and creativity of Finnish underwater photographers. It is also a reminder that the waters of Finland offer many opportunities for diving adventures, even during exceptional coronavirus times.

I have only been diving for a couple of years, and underwater photography has only recently started to feel more natural. It is a good start, and the most extraordinary adventures are still ahead!
